What You’ll Do

We are looking for a skilled Remote IT Support Technician to join our team, providing essential technical assistance to our clients. Your role will involve troubleshooting, repairing, and configuring various systems remotely, including computers, servers, email platforms, and applications like Microsoft 365. You'll also handle regular maintenance tasks, monitor system performance, and deliver user-friendly solutions to end-user requests. This position requires you to be on the phone and work remotely with clients. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of relevant experience, a degree in Information Technology, and proficiency in tools such as Ninja RMM and Microsoft 365 Admin Portals. Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provides staffing expertise and service to our clients ensuring effective, efficient, and focused selection of top talent.

  • Partners with clients to define candidate profiles required for success and/or update job descriptions for open positions. 

  • Manages full-cycle recruitment processes from defining position criteria with business management to selecting and placing candidates appropriately. 

  • Creatively and assertively sources applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks.

  • Recruits, screens and evaluates candidates, providing feedback to hiring managers based on established criteria.

  • Facilitates interview and selection process; partners with hiring manager for final selection and negotiation. 

  • Conducts regular follow-up meetings with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and their implementation.

  • Actively develops and maintains external relationships which may provide candidate referrals. This includes participation in industry events, job fairs, associations, active networking, and cold-calling as necessary. 

  • Coaches managers in effective screening, interviewing and selection techniques. 

  • Counsels line managers in final selections, compensation and the recruitment process in general. 

  • Supports and suggests improvements to overall staffing strategies, policies, practices, and standards. 

  • Maintains timely communication with hiring managers, candidates, and the HR team. 

  • Develops subject matter expertise in assigned business groups. 

  • Plays an active role in employer branding initiatives by promoting the client's image as an employer of choice; crafts compelling content for the client's website, social media platforms, and job listings; manages company’s online presence on various job boards.

  • Provides Career Transition services, offering job search coaching and support to recently laid-off employees to help them effectively navigate their job search and career transition.

  • Participate in the evaluation and optimization of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), ensuring that these systems are effectively leveraged to streamline the recruitment process, track candidates, and generate relevant reports.

  • Maintains records of all materials used for recruitment and talent acquisition initiatives, including interview notes and related paperwork, in company and client recruiting systems.

  • Participates in internal recruitment and process management activities as needed. 

  • Adheres to all confidentiality with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position.

  • Adapts to various duties and tasks as needed, playing a key part in the accomplishment of team and organizational objectives.

  • Provide remote technical assistance to troubleshoot, repair, and configure computers, laptops, servers, email platforms, passwords, and various applications like Microsoft 365.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity for clients.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including monitoring, patching, and backup procedures, to ensure the smooth functioning of systems.
  • Administer and maintain cloud-based services, particularly Microsoft 365, to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor system performance and respond promptly to alerts generated from monitoring software to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
  • Engage with clients via phone to understand their technical needs and provide appropriate solutions in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of support interactions and time spent using Clockify, ensuring thorough documentation of all activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to address helpdesk tickets, undertake projects, manage active directory, and implement automation solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Deliver technical, user-friendly solutions to end-user requests, including PC troubleshooting, printer and scanning issues, email problems, password resets, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) setup.

Our Perfect Candidate

  • 3+ years of job-related experience, preferably in MSP service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
  • In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networking
  • Good knowledge of Internet security and data privacy principles
  • Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (including Exchange, SharePoint, & MS Teams), and Ninja RMM is required
  • 2-4 years of Technical Support experience
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Centers (MS Teams, Compliance, Intune)
  • Previous experience with Ninja RMM is a major plus
  • Experience with IT documentation platforms
  • Experience working with Fortinet Firewalls
  • Experience with PowerShell and other scripting languages is a plus

Education

  • Degree in Information Technology is required.
  • Microsoft (CompTIA Security+, MCSA, CCNA) and other IT vendor certifications are desirable.

Working Conditions

Employees of Griffin Resources operate in a professional office environment. Employees must provide themselves with a designated workspace free from noise and distractions when working remotely. The employee routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and virtual tools such as web cameras and video programs. The employee must be camera ready during normal working hours.
